Fraud awareness alert

Fraud awareness concept photo of a man hacking a computer with security in bold text over his head.

Fraudsters and hackers continue to stay active, which means that we all need to stay vigilant, particularly when it comes to employee pay.

Important Reminder: If you receive an emailed request to modify direct deposit information for an employee, always take an extra step to verify that the request is legitimate.

What you should do

Verbal Confirmation: If you receive a request via email, verbally confirm with the employee to ensure its legitimacy. Emailed requests should be confirmed via a phone number you have on file for the employee.

Our process

When we receive a change request, we reach out to the contact who provided the request for verification using a phone number we have on file. We sometimes receive requests from our primary contact on behalf of an employee, and in those cases, we verify the request with our primary contact. We rely on our primary contact to further confirm the request with the employee involved prior to submitting it to us.

Stay vigilant to protect your business and your employees from fraud.
