Carmen is a benefits specialist for Global Business Advisors as part of the Employee Benefit Services department. She helps business owners and their employees interact with insurance companies by assisting with employee enrollments, bill reconciliation, and claims review.

Within her role, Carmen also develops and creates employee education materials to help employers and their employees understand their health benefits. She is involved with the firm’s Be Fit & Sponsorship Committee, which coordinates our internal corporate wellness initiatives.

Before joining GBA in 2023, Carmen held a position as an auto claims adjuster at State Farm. She has also worked for several large health insurance companies as a claims liaison and as a senior claims appeals coordinator.

Carmen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the Jackson State University. She is a Licensed Property & Casualty Adjuster as well as a Licensed Life, Accident & Health Agent.

In her free time, Carmen enjoys hiking, reading, writing, and spending time with her daughter. She is an advocate for mental health and participates in community service when time permits.
